Please check in on your senior loved ones and help them avoid a scam by reminding them of these tips:

- Don't answer phone calls from numbers you do not recognize.
- Do not give any personally identifiable information over the phone or to individuals you do not know.
- Hang up on robocalls.
- Be extremely wary of any unsolicited email providing information about coronavirus, even ones that claim to be from reputable organizations. - These are likely to be scams or "phishing" attempts to get you to provide personal information or to infect your device with software viruses.
- Beware of any products or services that claim to treat, diagnose, prevent, or cure COVID-19.
- Beware of calls stating a loved one is in jail and needs bail money. Try to contact that family member directly before giving any money.
- Any caller asking you to send money via gift card is probably a scammer.

Welcome to the weekend Folsom! Stay safe and enjoy!

The City of Folsom will reopen selected recreational amenities that provide the community with non-contact, healthy recreational opportunities that allow for safe social distancing.

Beginning Saturday, the following Folsom recreational amenities will reopen to the public, provided that the six-foot social distancing requirements are adhered to.

• Playgrounds and play equipment
• FIDO Field Dog Park
• Tennis, bocce ball, pickleball, and volleyball courts
• Andy Morin Sports Complex – Only non-contact sports or recreational activities are authorized, such as pickleball, table tennis, and batting cages. (Open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday – Friday, until further notice. Masks or cloth face coverings required to enter. Visitors must use personal equipment and are strongly encouraged to disinfect the equipment prior to use).
• Ball walls
• B. T. Collins disc golf course
• Skate and bike park (open 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. daily, until further notice)
• Athletic fields. Only non-contact sports or recreational activities are authorized. No structured or organized practices, games, trainings, coaching, or team/league sports groups are permitted.

Parks and equipment users are asked to take personal responsibility for sanitizing sports equipment before and after use. Masks or cloth face coverings are strongly advised when six-foot social distancing cannot be maintained. Masks or face cloth coverings must be worn at all times at the Andy Morin Sports Complex.

Fresh new roads coming to American River Canyon!

A pavement resurfacing project begins this week for residential streets in the American River Canyon neighborhood. Some of the work will involve a two-step process that requires temporary road and lane closures on two separate days a week apart. No street parking will be allowed on the days scheduled. Residents will be notified at least one week prior to closures that may affect them. The resurfacing project will be completed by May 15.
