Living a longer life is a blessing.

But what if one day we can no longer live independently? Who will provide the care? How will it be paid for? Will it place a burden on the people we love?

As we get older, many of us think about retirement, our health, and whether our savings will be enough. Yet one concern often goes unspoken: What happens if long-term care is ever needed?

For many people, the greatest fear isn't simply getting sick. It's losing independence, losing choices, and relying too heavily on loved ones.

Few parents want to see their son or daughter set aside their own family, career, or future plans to become a caregiver. Nor do they want to see an aging spouse carry that responsibility alone.

True peace of mind is about more than preparing for retirement. It's about being prepared if care is ever needed, so that we can maintain our dignity, preserve our choices, and help ease the burden on those we love.

❤️ Leave your family with love, not pressure.

I recently read an interesting article discussing the $110 trillion wealth transfer expected to occur over the coming decades.

What caught my attention wasn't the size of the number.

It was the question many families are beginning to ask:

"How much can I safely help my children and grandchildren today without compromising my own retirement security?"

As people live longer and retirement may last 25-30 years or more, wealth planning is becoming less about leaving assets behind and more about deciding when and how to use those assets.

Perhaps the future of wealth planning is not just about inheritance.

It's about timing.

Has eliminating SAT and ACT requirements made college admissions fairer?

A growing debate is emerging in higher education. More than 600 University of California professors have reportedly called for a reexamination of the University's decision to eliminate SAT and ACT testing from admissions.

Regardless of where you stand on standardized testing, this discussion raises an important question:

Are students entering college academically prepared for the challenges ahead?

Admissions policies may change over time, but the skills that help students succeed remain the same:

✔ Strong reading comprehension

✔ Clear and effective writing

✔ Solid math foundations

✔ Critical thinking and problem-solving skills

As parents and educators, perhaps the focus should be less on whether a test returns and more on whether students are developing the skills needed to thrive in college and beyond.

What are your thoughts?

Parents, if your teen is planning a summer internship in 2026, here’s what’s changing:

Colleges are offering fewer entry-level roles, and more are being filled by current college students. That means more competition for high school students than ever before.

What you can do:
• Start looking earlier (winter is not too early)
• Focus on structured programs, not casual jobs
• Help your student build a simple resume now

The earlier you plan, the better your chances.

家長們請注意:

2026年暑期大學實習機會對高中生來說越來越難了。

機會更少,競爭更大,很多崗位優先給大學生。

👉 一定要提前準備,盡早申請。
