In addition, the Fed had a press conference acknowledge that inflation will not hit their target of 2% until 2026. However, the Fed has a dual mandate.
If unemployment continues to rise they will be forced to cut rates. Jerome Powell, mentioned, unemployment is rising which the market rallied on.

One more keynote in the meeting was expectations of the Fed's first cut. Its becoming more likely there will be 1 or 2 rate cuts this year.
In addition, 2025, 2026 and in the future additional cuts prompting a lower mortgage rate environment in the future.
