Also, Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac have confirmed that buyers can now roll their agent's compensation into their mortgage.

This means buyers can finance their agent's fee as part of their loan, making it more affordable to secure professional representation. Call me if you want to start shopping. I heard rates are now around 7.5 but a June rate drop will cause prices to increase. Lock in now and refi later.

Though rebounding from cyclical lows, home sales are stuck because interest rates have not made any major moves.

May US Housing Starts, Permits Surge, Both Above Expectations

08:41 AM EDT, 06/20/2023 (MT Newswires) -- May housing starts surged by 22% from the previous month to a 1.631 million annual rate, well above expectations compiled by Bloomberg for a 1.400 million rate after a decrease to a 1.340 million pace in April.

Building permits rose by 5.2% to a 1.491 million rate in May, above the 1.425 million rate expected and following a decline to a 1.417 million rate in April.

Home completions jumped by 9.5% to a 1.518 million rate, reversing most of the previous month's decline. Completions were up 5% year over year.
