Being a new real estate agent can be hard. Being a bit shy and coming into this industry at a time when there have been several unprecedented firsts: interest rates, inventory, etc., didn't make it any easier. Also in the midst of becoming a real estate agent, I became a mom, and that comes with its own set of challenges. But I wouldn't trade it for the world. I love what I do and I am absolutely in love with being a mom.

In order to manage the stress and anxiety, I have learned to celebrate the small things. Whether that be reaching out to a potential client, or sleeping more than 2 hours straight at night, I celebrate it. All of this to say, celebrate every win no matter how small. It all counts for something.

When selling, staging your home can be one of the most impactful things you do. Staging allows potential buyers to see how they might use the space. It allows them the opportunity to really imagine themselves living there. They can see themselves sitting in that chair by the window reading a good book on a rainy day. They can see themselves with their family gathered around the dining table for dinner.

While staging is important, it is also vital to remember that less is more. There shouldn't be clutter throughout the home. The decor should be kept minimal. The 3-to-5 foot rule can help with this. This may seem like a daunting challenge. As a real estate agent, this is one of the many things I can help you with when listing your home. I can tell you what areas may need a bit of attention when it comes to staging.
