Everyone talks about preparing your home before you list it, but what actually matters? To-do lists can feel endless, but these are the most important priorities before you list⬇️

🔨 Fix what’s broken- go room to room and jot down what you see that needs fixing. Chipped paint, squeaky hinges, leaky faucet, etc. These things are easy for you to take care of before listing, and show any potential buyers that you properly maintain your home.

🧹 Deep clean and declutter your spaces. A tidy and clean home just shows better. It’s that simple. Buyers can better envision themselves living there if things are neat and clean. Too busy to tackle this all on your own? After you declutter, hire out the deep clean. You’ll thank yourself later!

🏡 Make a good first impression! Here is another easy one that you can hire out, if you wish. When buyers pull up to your home, make sure the first thing they see is inviting. Mow your lawn, tend to the garden beds, power wash dirty areas, and make sure your front door is clean and has a functioning doorknob.
