Realtor Tim Olson Every home has a story, and I've been helping Michigan families write their next chapter since 2014. Why Work with Realtor Tim Olson? Read my reviews. Ask me how.

Built on relationships, repeat clients, and referrals, my business focuses on providing trusted advice, clear communication, and proven results. SELLERS: You know how some realtors just plop a house on the internet with bad pictures and a poorly written description? It's criminal how some realtors behave, but it shouldn't be surprising considering that the average realtor has a high school diploma

and doesn't have to pass a background check. I have an advanced degree and pass a yearly Federal Background Check to keep my partnership with Angie's List. Everything I do is strategic. From the photos and staging, to the pre-marketing, to which day of the week I list your home-it's all part of my 6 step success formula. I sell houses for 107% of the asking price in just 1 day on average. I'll tell you how much your house is honestly worth, exactly what you need to do to prep it to sell, and give you an overview of the entire selling process. I will help mitigate your risks and creatively problem solve if any speed bumps arise. BUYERS: Have you noticed that the nice homes go pending in 1-2 days? Together we will scour the market for new inventory, and get you in right away. If you like the home, I will communicate with the listing agent so we can write a smart offer, a winning offer. I've helped conventional buyers beat out all cash offers, and even sent letters to my buyers' dream neighborhood to help find them a home! While it may seem unnerving to make such a large decision so quickly, my purchase agreement allows you to back out unscathed in the first 7 days or so. BUYERS AND SELLERS: Real estate transactions can be tricky; the market is dynamic, and each deal unique. When roadblocks arise, I will creatively problem solve to protect your best interests. If your deal isn't going smoothly, I will lose sleep at night until we make it right (ask my wife). I love my job because I get to use my talents to fight for my clients while providing exceptional customer service! WHAT CLIENTS LOVE ABOUT ME: Honest, on-time, quick to return calls, knowledgeable, professional, strategic, creative, hard-working, exceptional negotiator and caring. Sometimes, it's amazing where one conversation can lead.
Back in the spring of 2021, I was hosting an open house in Clarkston when I met Brandon and Alyssa Motzel. They were relocating to the area to begin their medical residency programs and entrusted me with helping them find a place to call home.
Together, we found a wonderful home in Goodrich.
Over the next several years, that house became so much more than an address. It became the place where Brandon and Alyssa completed their residency programs, grew as physicians, welcomed children into their family, and built the foundation for the next chapter of their lives.
Shortly after closing, Brandon introduced me to his friend, Dr. Jace Bauer.
Jace was beginning his orthopedic surgery residency at Henry Ford Genesys Hospital, while his wife, Amanda, continued her career as a nurse. Together, we found them a home in Grand Blanc where they established their careers, grew their family, and created memories they'll carry with them forever.
This summer, Brandon and Alyssa called me again—this time to help them sell their home as they begin life after residency.
Then, just a few months later, Jace and Amanda did the same after Jace accepted an incredible opportunity with the prestigious Seattle Spine Institute.
As I reflected on these two closings, I realized they weren't really about buying and selling homes.
They were about relationships.
One conversation at an open house led to helping two incredible healthcare families buy homes. Years later, I had the privilege of helping both families sell those same homes as they stepped into exciting new chapters of life and career.
For me, the greatest compliment isn't closing another transaction. It's when someone trusts you enough to refer a friend—and years later, both families trust you again when it's time for the next move.
Brandon and Alyssa, thank you for allowing me to be part of your journey—not once, but twice.
Jace and Amanda, thank you for placing that same trust in me. Congratulations on this exciting opportunity in Seattle. Wishing you all the best as you begin this next chapter.
To all four of you, thank you for the work you do caring for others. It has been an honor to play a small role in your family's journey. See less

A few months ago, I shared a post asking if anyone knew of a home for Dom and Krista.
At the time, life was anything but simple.
Dom was deployed overseas, faithfully serving our country while Krista was home, pregnant, taking care of the kiddos and packing up their home. We had already sold their home, were using occupancy to buy a little more time, and were searching in one of the toughest real estate markets we've seen.
At the very same time, my family was living at Cleveland Clinic while our daughter recovered from open-heart surgery.
Many of the showings, conversations with listing agents, and even the offer on their new home were coordinated from a hospital lobby between doctor visits and long days on the cardiac floor.
Despite everything life threw at both of our families, we kept moving forward.
This week, we officially closed on a home that couldn't be a better fit.
It's close to family, has plenty of room for everyone to gather (think big Italian family), and an incredible backyard where their children can run, explore, and create the kind of childhood memories that last a lifetime. Soon, they'll be bringing home their newest little one to a house they'll get to call home from day one.
Dom, thank you for your service and for the sacrifices you and your family make on behalf of all of us. It was truly an honor to help your family during this season of life.
Congratulations, Dom and Krista! Thank you for trusting me through one of life's busiest chapters. Wishing you countless blessings in your new home and all the joy that comes with welcoming your newest addition.

**Every Home Has a Story.**
For Ted and Alyssa, this story wasn't about square footage or granite countertops.
It was about giving their two little girls the kind of childhood that's becoming harder to find.
Ted grew up in Madison Heights and graduated from Lamphere High School nearly 20 years ago. White attending graduate school in Tennessee, he met Alyssa, a Nashville native, and together they built a life they loved. They both became teachers, welcomed two beautiful daughters, and had good careers.
But something was missing.
They missed Sunday dinners with family. They wanted sidewalks where their girls could ride bikes with neighborhood friends. They wanted block parties, community events, grandparents nearby, and the kind of neighborhood where kids still play outside until the streetlights come on.
When Ted accepted a teaching position at his alma mater, Lamphere High School, they knew it was time to come home.
There was just one problem...
Michigan's housing market wasn't exactly waiting for them.
With limited inventory, weekend trips from Tennessee to house hunt, a tight moving timeline before school started, and both of us juggling major life events—including my daughter's time at Cleveland Clinic—we knew finding the right home wouldn't be easy.
Then we found *the one*.
We submitted what we believed was a strong offer—$20,000 over asking—fully expecting multiple offers.
A few days later I received the call no buyer wants to hear.
"You didn't get it."
We were just $10,000 short, but increasing our offer would trigger another buyer's escalation clause and likely put the home out of reach.
I called Ted and Alyssa.
They didn't hesitate.
"We want this home."
Fortunately, the listing agent remembered them from the open house.
"Oh yes... the sweet couple from Tennessee with the two little girls."
She wanted to find a way to make it work. Through honest communication, a great lending team, and some creative problem-solving, we were able to structure the contract so Ted and Alyssa matched the winning offer without triggering the escalation clause.
Against the odds...
They got the house.
One day, I'm sure they'll laugh about the drive to Michigan for closing while trying to wire funds through mobile banking with a two-year-old in the back seat who had just discovered how to unbuckle herself.
Today, though, all that matters is this:
Two little girls have a place to ride their bikes.
Grandparents are just a short drive away.
A teacher came home to the school that helped shape him.
And another Michigan family gets to write its next chapter.
**Every Home Has a Story.**
I'm grateful that, every once in a while, I get a front-row seat to watch the next chapter begin.

Every House Has a Story 🏡

A few months ago, Amber and Eric had a goal: maximize every dollar from the sale of Amber's home so they could buy their first home together and start planning their wedding.

We sold her home for $15,000 over asking, navigated inspection repairs, and stayed focused on the bigger picture.

Fast forward to today—we just won a bidding war on their dream home.

How excited were they? Their moving truck was parked outside the title company, their dog was riding shotgun, and the second they got the keys, they headed straight to their new home.

As we wrapped up closing, they smiled and said, "Keep an eye on your mailbox. Your wedding invitation is coming."

Real estate often intersects with some of life's hardest chapters. But every now and then, I get a front-row seat to something really special.

This is one of those moments.

Every house has a story. This one is about new beginnings. ❤️
