We've come to the end of my "Week of Gratitude" 🫶, at least for now. I'll give you a bit of a break from photos that include me👏, but I couldn't end this week without properly thanking this wonderful couple, Sydney and Zach, who helped to reinforce my belief that if you truly want something and you manifest those positive thoughts and desires out to the Universe, amazing things can happen! Sydney and Zach just closed on a home that, on paper, they probably shouldn't have, as the odds were stacked against them. They were up against 3 other offers, and even though their offer was the only one that included a home sale contingency (on a deal that was just signed the day before), the sellers agreed to accept their offer! There was even one other competing non-contingent offer that had the potential to net the sellers more money! The story gets even better because Sydney grew up just a few houses down from their new home, where her parents live now. This was more than just a closing, it was a homecoming! I got to meet the parents, siblings, aunts and uncles from both sides, as everyone came over to see the home, in a wonderful display of family support. The Universe had no choice but to cooperate! The icing on the cake for me, was the pure joy that Sydney, in particular, was showing when she found out that her wish had come true. Sydney and Zach thanked me for making it happen, but truth be told, I was only along for the ride! Thank you very much Sydney, Zach, your families and the Universe!🤝😊

Wow, it's already day 4 of my "Week of Gratitude" 🫶! Time flies when you're being thankful, but apparently it also flies by when your family has owned a home for almost 50 years and now it's time to sell! I recently had the exclusive honor of helping Linda and Jim sell Linda's family's home, that they purchased brand new in 1977. To put that in perspective, I was still a paperboy for the Detroit News in 1977 (outselling the other paper people) and still in middle school! The honor was exclusive and very much appreciated because no other agent has EVER sold their former home...only this guy! 😉 Linda, Jim and their family were amazing to work with, and I loved the way that they worked together to get the home ready to sell, taking time to reminisce as they sorted through family possessions and holding on to the home until it just wasn't prudent to do so any longer. The more time that you own and love a home, the more difficult it is to say goodbye 🥲, but I always remind my clients, that you're taking all of the wonderful memories with you. When the deal (as well as this memorable 49 year chapter) was closed, Linda and Jim (as well as sister Nancy and brother-in-law Dan) were extremely happy, as you can see by their smiling faces. Smiles are contagious and motivating to me, so whether it's from telling you a dumb joke (or a perfectly crafted one) or helping you successfully achieve your real estate goals, I'll always keep coming back for more! Thank you very much Linda, Jim, Nancy and Dan!

Here we are on day 3 of my "Week of Gratitude" 🫶, and today I'm turning the spotlight on this wonderful family, whose journey to purchase their first home was 7 years in the making! Back in 2019, Curtis and Norma asked me to help them find a home, but the planets and stars didn't line up, so they put their plans on hold. Fast forward to 2026, and the timing was much better, not to mention that now there was a Curtis Jr. in the picture! It was time to plant some roots. I honestly didn't expect to hear from Curtis and Norma, since so much time had gone by, not to mention that EVERYBODY seems to have a real estate license today (I think they come free with the purchase of a Happy Meal!), so who knows which agent was fortunate enough to get the job. Turns out I was that fortunate agent! I thoroughly enjoyed working with this family, and even though the photo makes it look like I forgot to wear my deodorant that day (I didn't, I swear!), we became close, and they looked to me like a fatherly figure, providing guidance and reassurance that all of their time and efforts would pay off. Sure enough, it did, and the awesome home that they purchased checked off all their boxes and then some. There's nothing better than happy clients, and happy first-time buyers are the best! This is why I sell real estate. Thank goodness that I bought that Happy Meal and thank you very much Curtis, Norma and my new buddy, Curtis Jr.! 👊🙂

It's day 2 of my "Week of Gratitude"🫶and I have to admit, working with this super fun couple, Mike and Yenita, was gratifying to me on a personal level. I've known Mike since I was 14 years old, and together we found many ways to get in trouble, as we ran the streets of Brightmoor (northwest Detroit). I sold Mike his first Harley and he's been riding one ever since! Yes, I'm jealous.😩 I just recently had the privilege of meeting Yenita, and she's a wonderful woman who is a perfect fit for Mike. I helped Mike and Yenita purchase a home recently, and they couldn't have been happier. I am extremely thankful that Mike reached out to me and gave me the opportunity to reconnect with him. It brought back many fond memories, so don't be surprised if you see me roll up to our next appointment riding a vintage Road King with an Exact Match Properties logo on the gas tank! Thank you very much Mike and Yenita!!

I'm way behind on thanking some of my awesome clients, so this will be the first post in my "Week of Gratitude" 🫶. I've been very fortunate to have been given the honor of working with many great people and entire families over the last 35+ years, so it's important that I recognize each and every one of you and let you know that I truly appreciate you! I had the pleasure of working with Jennifer, Mike and their family recently, and by the time we were done with our adventure, I felt like part of the family myself! The deal became somewhat complicated, due to some inspection findings, but Mike and Jennifer loved the home and property, so we rolled up our shirt sleeves and worked out some solutions with the sellers. It took almost 3 months to close, which probably would have scared most people away 😲, but in the end, the closing became a well-deserved birthday present for Mike! 🎂 Thank you very much Jennifer and Mike and congratulations! 👏

I just had to share this story! I first met Nick when I was helping his parents buy and sell a home. He was still a kid at the time. Over the years I would see him in the neighborhood, always on the go, whether doing odd jobs, riding his bike or motorcycle, fishing, etc. What always impressed me was how polite, respectful and friendly Nick always was to me and others. Fast forward several years and Nick called me looking for some commercial property to store boats for the clients of his new business. He was installing and removing docks and hoists, as well as shrink-wrapping and storing boats for the winter, and then putting them back in the water in the spring. He had already created a sizable list of happy clients, so I helped him find a nice storage lot. Just recently, Nick called me again, looking for more space. Now he is expanding his business, NMR Marine, to do boat repairs, sell and install new docks, hoists and parts. I was more than happy and very proud to help Nick find a great retail space in Commerce Twp, formerly occupied by Papa's Rental, at Commerce Rd and Newton Rd. If you're a boater and you're looking for top notch service, parts and repairs, I promise you that Nick and his team will win your business the old fashioned way: By working hard, treating people with respect and always going above and beyond. As a side note, Nick is going to continue to sell propane at the Commerce location, where it has been available to the community for many years. Your success is no surprise to me Nick! I know what you're thinking: "How can I get a stylish blue sign like that in my yard?"🤔You might be surprised to learn that the installation of this sign is absolutely FREE when you hire me to sell your home, just like Sally and Doug did. I had a wonderful experience working with Sally and Doug, which began with the planning stage back in January and ended with this picture on closing day! I'm proud to say that we were a great team, that planned, prepared and executed every step along the way perfectly. I couldn't be happier for, not only the successful outcome of our mission (just 4 days on the market and 30K over asking), but for Sally and Doug's ability to achieve their goal of moving closer to family and taking their enjoyment of being loving grandparents to the next level. Congratulations to Doug, Sally and the new homeowners who are absolutely thrilled with their purchase. I think I need to sell this story to the Hallmark Channel! 🥲❤️

My "Sold by Mike Galinac" key had some vacation time coming, so he's off this week having a great time, as evidenced by the video that he sent me. His message is spot-on. I couldn't have said it better, almost as if I wrote it myself! 🤔He said that he's headed out on the town later, probably going to hit a few local hardware stores, looking for a nice padlock to hang out with. As an older key, it's been tough for him to find companionship lately. He said that most of the single locks these days are looking for someone who knows the right combination to enter, buttons to push or one of those fancy bluetooth types with all the gadgets. He deserves to be happy and I just want the best for him, which is exactly what he wants for all of you! Have a great vacation my friend. I'll see you soon! 👍🙂
