Another home SOLD! ✨

This one was especially meaningful because I had the honor of helping family friends through the sale of a longtime family home that their mother left to them and their siblings. ❤️🏡

From helping navigate the estate process and getting everything transferred properly, to negotiating the sale and keeping the transaction moving forward, there were a lot of moving parts behind the scenes. Even better? This home went under contract before it ever officially hit the MLS. 👏🏾

Like many transactions, we hit a few unexpected hurdles along the way, but with persistence, strategy, and the ability to pivot when needed, we were able to successfully secure a strong cash offer for the family.

To all of my real estate friends,

Please slow down before responding to these “moving to your area soon” emails that all sound exactly the same. A lot of these are scams targeting agents.

Here are a few red flags to watch for:

🚩 The sender’s email address doesn’t match the name they’re using
🚩 Weird grammar, awkward wording, or overly generic details
🚩 They immediately want to jump on Zoom, Google Meet, or Microsoft Teams using THEIR link
🚩 They avoid phone calls or answering direct questions
🚩 They claim to be relocating quickly with a huge budget but give no real specifics
🚩 Celebrity names or suspicious “high profile” emails, including fake emails pretending to be people like Jason Aldean (yep...that email finally made it to one of my team members) 👀

Here are some ways to protect yourself:

✔️ Google the email address
✔️ Send YOUR own meeting link if needed
✔️ Ask qualifying questions before giving your time away
✔️ Never click random links or download attachments from strangers
✔️ Trust your gut when something feels off

Scammers are getting more creative, and REALTORS® are an easy target because we’re trained to respond quickly and help people.

Stay safe out here, y’all. The leads are not worth compromising your accounts, your information, or your business.
