**Severe Weather is expected TODAY, Tuesday April 2nd across Middle Tennessee**

All modes of severe weather are possible today! That's large hail, damaging winds of 60+ mph, tornadoes, possibly strong, and cloud-to-ground lightning.

Timing: Storms could start developing as early as 10-11 AM this morning for counties across the northwest. A broken line of strong to severe thunderstorms will come together and move across the entire Mid State through the afternoon, wrapping up around 8 PM tonight.

These storms will be moving fast, so keep your guard up today and be ready to take action if you receive a warning. Have multiple ways to receive warnings and know exactly where to go in the event you need to seek shelter.

We know this makes people nervous. Heck, we get nervous, too. The important thing to remember is to have a plan. Be prepared, not scared! Or be both. That's okay, too. Just make sure you know where to go if you need to take shelter. We will update as much as we can throughout the day, but please do not solely rely on social media to receive your warnings.

We'll get through this day together!
