Did you know when you purchase a new build home you can get 2 inspections??
New construction doesn’t mean you skip the inspection! 🏡🔍
Today was a blue tape walk-through on a new build—also known as the cosmetic walk-through.
So what’s the difference?
🔍 Home Inspection: A licensed home inspector takes a deeper look at the home’s major systems and components—electrical, plumbing, HVAC, roof, structure, and more.
🔵 Blue Tape Walk-Through: This is all about the finishing details. Think paint touch-ups, drywall imperfections, trim, flooring, cabinets, caulking, scratches, and other cosmetic items that need attention before closing.
They serve two very different purposes, and I recommend my buyers do both on a new construction home.
Because even when it’s brand new, you still want another set of eyes on it before you get the keys. 🔑
