Yesterday’s glamorous brokerage-owner life 😂👇

🥪 Survived the entire workday on a Lunchable and a cookie
🏡 Helped THREE agents write new listing agreements
💻 Worked until after 7 PM
🍔 Ordered Wendy’s pickup because dinner was definitely not happening
❤️ Still made it home to eat with my family
🃏 And squeezed in a card game with the kids before bed

Was it balanced? Absolutely not. 😂

But it was a really good day.

One of the things I love most about building Southern Reserve Realty is getting to be there when our agents need me — whether that’s working through a contract, answering questions, helping with a new listing, or just being another set of eyes when something doesn’t feel quite right.

Three agents working on new listings yesterday meant three agents growing their businesses and three sellers trusting them to guide them through a big decision.

And after all of that, I still got to end my day sitting around a table with my favorite people. ❤️

Sometimes Service Above Standard looks like a polished closing table.

Sometimes it looks like a Lunchable, a cookie, contracts until 7, Wendy’s pickup, and a card game before bedtime. 😂

I’ll take it.

A little business, a little family time, and a LOT of Tennessee heat. 😂☀️

We started the evening at Business After Hours at Old Glory Distillery with Connie and Heike, getting to catch up, connect with other local businesses, and enjoy another great Clarksville event.

Afterward, I met up with my family for dinner and headed to the Thursday Market for dessert because apparently we can always find room for something sweet. 😂

We planned on hanging around for a while… but the heat won. 🥵 It didn’t take long before everyone agreed that air conditioning sounded better than walking around outside.

Still, it was such a good reminder of why I love living and working here. Clarksville has so many opportunities to get involved, support local businesses, run into people you know, and then turn around and enjoy those same community events with your family.

Even if sometimes you only make it until the heat sends you home. 😂

There actually IS one good thing about showing houses when it’s nearly 100° outside. 🥵😂

The house gets put to the test.

On days like this I’m paying attention to things buyers may never notice when it’s 70° outside:

Is the upstairs comfortable?

Is the HVAC keeping up?

Are certain rooms noticeably hotter because of afternoon sun?

How much shade does the house and backyard get?

Can you feel heat coming through the windows?

We all notice the kitchen, flooring and finishes when we walk into a house.

But when you’re buying in Tennessee, I also want to know how that house actually feels during a Tennessee summer.

There are weekends… and then there are weekends where you’re sitting on Lake Barkley watching bald eagles fly around you. 🇺🇸🦅

No traffic. No packed schedule. Just the boat, the water, good company, and bald eagles casually reminding you how incredible this area really is.

And this is one of the things I wish more people knew about living in and around Clarksville, TN and Fort Campbell, KY.

When I help someone buy a home here, I’m not just thinking about bedrooms, bathrooms, square footage, or commute times.

I’m thinking about the LIFE they’re moving into.

A place where you can work all week and spend the weekend on Lake Barkley.

Where Land Between the Lakes is close enough for a spontaneous day trip.

Where you can have city conveniences, military access, new construction, neighborhoods, acreage, country living… and still escape to views like this.

This weekend was one of those little reminders that sometimes the best part of where you live isn’t inside the house at all. ❤️

Monday started just after midnight with two kids getting food poisoning at the exact same time, a staircase that looked like a scene from a horror movie, a bathroom disaster, and me laughing hysterically because sometimes you reach a level of chaos where that’s really the only option. 😂

And because Monday apparently felt like that wasn’t enough…

I’m also two weeks out from knee surgery, have a follow-up appointment 90 minutes away today, AND it’s the first baseball and softball practices of the season. ⚾🥎

So if your REALTOR®️ seems unusually proud of answering emails, returning calls, and keeping everything moving today…

Now you know why. 😂

One thing about real estate — life doesn’t stop when work gets busy, and work definitely doesn’t stop when life gets chaotic.

Sometimes you just clean the stairs, grab the coffee, answer the phone, and keep moving.
