RECON Real Estate

RECON Real Estate Veteran-owned, mission-driven real estate serving Clarksville & Fort Campbell. We’ve got your six.

We help military families and smart sellers protect their equity and sell with confidence.
📍 Full-service brokerage • Modern tools • PCS-friendly solutions I built RECON Real Estate with one mission in mind: give military families a smarter, more strategic way to buy and sell their homes. After 20 years in the Army, I saw how often PCS moves drained equity and caused stress that didn’t need to hap

pen. So I created RECON—a brokerage that blends disciplined leadership, honest communication, and innovative tools like UseRecon.com. My goal is simple: protect what you’ve earned and give you a real estate process you can trust.

If you're a military spouse at Fort Campbell, the Army's PCS cuts affect you directly. Families who expected to move aren't moving. Families who planned on two years might be staying four. That changes whether it makes sense to buy. The break-even on a VA loan in Clarksville is about 18 to 24 months. If you're here longer than that, you should be building equity — not handing rent money to a landlord. We help military families run that math for free. No pressure, no sales pitch. Just honest numbers.

If you own a home in Clarksville, the Army's PCS cuts affect your property value — and not in the way most people think. Fewer families moving in means fewer military buyers. But fewer families moving out also means less forced selling, which actually supports prices. Meanwhile soldiers staying longer are more likely to buy, creating demand from within the installation rather than from inbound transfers. It's not a crash. It's a shift. And if you understand the shift, you can make the right move. That's what Recon is here for. Link in the comment below👇️

Here's something nobody is talking about with the Army's PCS cuts — and it's actually good news if you own a rental property near Fort Campbell. Fewer families moving out means fewer vacancies. Families staying longer keep their leases. Demand holds steady or increases. If you've been thinking about buying a rental property in the Clarksville area, longer military tours mean more stable, long-term tenants. We manage rental properties through Recon Property Solutions and we know this market from both sides. Reach out if you want to talk numbers.

Introducing our first Boots on the Ground spotlight: Chelsea Bader Rushing

Chelsea is a military spouse, mom of three, and content creator who's made it her mission to help families find the good at every duty station — because "there's nothing to do here" is never really true.
She started out managing her husband's YouTube channel, and it grew into something all her own: a career she can pack up and take with her wherever the Army sends them next. Now she's bringing that same energy to Fort Campbell, sharing honest local favorites, kid-friendly adventures, date-night ideas, events, small businesses, and all the PCS tips she wishes someone had handed her on day one.
Chelsea also kicked things off by writing our very first blog post on the Honest Guide, over on the Clarksville Standard — go check it out (link in the comments below). She dives into something every family here should hear: wherever you land, on post or off, it's easy to stay in your own little bubble. Her honest take is to get out and explore both sides of the gate, because Clarksville is a city of "exits" and each area feels different, and to be intentional about staying connected to the Fort Campbell community too, even if you live farther away. A little drive time is part of the deal here, and it shouldn't stop you from finding the good on either side.

The Army just cut 12,000 PCS moves this year and 13,600 next year. Fort Campbell has about 27,000 soldiers — roughly 6% of the total Army force. Run the math and you're looking at somewhere between 400 and 700 fewer families moving in or out of this installation every single year. That changes the housing market here. It changes the rental market. It changes whether buying makes sense for your family right now. We've spent over 20 years serving military families through exactly these kinds of shifts. This is our lane. Full breakdown link in the first comment👇️

We built something for military spouses that has never been done before.
Boots on the Ground is a vetted network of real military spouses who answer questions for families PCSing to a new base. Real people. Real answers. Real community.
We are live at Fort Campbell, Fort Carson, Fort Bragg, Fort Hood, Fort Drum, and JBLM — and more bases are coming.
If you know your base inside and out and want to be part of something that is genuinely making a difference — we want you.
Links to learn more and apply are in the comments.
Come be a boot.

Most real estate agents in Clarksville built their business around the PCS cycle — families in, families out, every two to three years. The Army's PCS cuts are going to squeeze that model significantly. Fewer moves means fewer transactions for agents who only know how to serve families on a 30-day military timeline. We built Recon differently. The Clarksville Standard. Scout AI. Boots on the Ground. Recon Zero. Every piece of what we've built serves military families whether they're moving or staying — because a military family doesn't just need a transaction. They need someone who knows this life from the inside. That's always been the mission. Visit ReconNation to see what we've built. 👇️

The biggest mistake I see people make buying a house near a base — and it can cost you thousands when it's time to PCS out. Buy the house that's easy to leave.

What $415K actually gets you near Fort Campbell right now — 4 bed, 2.5 bath, 2,700+ sqft out by Exit 1 / Tiny Town. Orders to Campbell? Drop your budget in the comments and I'll pull a list of what's in your range and send it your way.

Before you finance a big permanent add-on onto a house near a base — solar, a pool, whatever — ask one question: can I clear it the day I have to sell? I've seen this trap people near Campbell.
