Mamas of neuro divergent (ADHD, autistic, dyslexic, etc.), special needs, differently abled, or exceptionally "challenging" children, I have been working on an idea and have committed to creating a new resource for our community. This has come about out of a need to solve my own issue and that of many others I have met or chatted with since starting the impossible task of navigating childcare and education for my son(s).
Having learned of the Johnston County school board's decision to significantly reduce the number of pre k classrooms next year and shuffle kids around, now seems like a perfect time to dive in and get to work (you know, in all my free time). I am seeking others who want to create something different and a better option for our kids and our selves. It feels huge, but I believe it is possible!
The link below is the vision for my non profit, Project Wylder Wayfinding. If you would like to contribute or support this effort in any way, shape, or form, fill out the contact form. This is going to take a village, I can't do this alone. You may also choose to have your voice heard by filling out the survey on Childcare and Education linked here:

Thanks all! We will soon be hosting some virtual mastermind meetings to brainstorm and get creative. I have recently taken the Childcare Center Pre-licensing workshop through DHHSNC and I think we will need to get creative to create a new system that will work for us.
Also, please feel free to share the links to one or both outside of this group to any you think may be interested including educators, parents, support professionals, and potential community partners.
