Each month, HomeTowne Realty agents spend a day touring local listings, sharing feedback, discussing market trends, and connecting with fellow professionals across our company.

📊 Market Monday: May 2026

Inventory levels are healthy, buyers are staying active, and homes continue to move at a steady pace.

🔹 Wake County led the region with nearly 1,700 homes closed and an average sales price approaching $689K, highlighting continued demand in the Triangle.

🔹 Johnston County maintained solid momentum with 364 homes closed and nearly 380 pending sales, showing that buyers are still actively entering the market.

🔹 Wilson, Nash & Franklin Counties continue to offer affordability and opportunity, posting 252 closings while inventory remains available for buyers seeking more options.

Across all markets, hundreds of homes are already under contract, signaling continued activity heading into summer.

The market remains balanced, active, and full of opportunity for both buyers and sellers.
