True story lol

I swear, I can think about something a hundred different ways and still somehow end up wanting to say exactly what I shouldn’t say. Sometimes I know the mature thing to do is stay quiet, let it go, and protect my peace—but then somebody has to come along with a smart mouth and suddenly my self-control is being tested.

I’m not even trying to argue half the time. I just have this terrible habit of wanting to defend myself when I feel disrespected. And once I start thinking of all the things I *could* say, keeping my mouth shut becomes a whole different kind of challenge.

So yes, the best response is probably no response. I know that. I just wish people would stop giving me reasons to prove that I have a smart mouth. Sometimes silence is maturity, but sometimes I’m really out here fighting for my life trying not to say what’s on my mind.

The older you get, the less you care about having the newest things and the more you care about having financial peace.

She can choose peace while still knowing exactly where her boundaries are.

There is strength in a woman who has learned that she doesn’t need to prove herself to everyone. She knows her worth, protects her energy, and walks away from anything that repeatedly disrespects her.
