In a recent podcast conversation, Doug Sansone shared a lesson that has helped shape the way Sansone Group operates as a family business.

Years ago, his father designed the conference room with a round table for a reason: there is no head of the table. No one person has all the answers.

As he often said, “Two heads are better than one, and three heads are better than two.”

Working together doesn’t mean everyone approaches things the same way or always agrees. It means keeping ego in check, recognizing that different perspectives have value, and remembering that ultimately, everyone is working toward the same goal.

For a family business, that mindset can make all the difference.

A little friendly rivalry outside the office. 

Sansone Group Principal Jim Sansone, COO John Benoist, Development Partner Rick Kingery, and Director of Development John Brown took in last night’s Cardinals–Phillies matchup while Rick was in town from Philadelphia.

As a lifelong Phillies fan, Rick may not have loved the final score — but with the series tied 1–1 and both teams in the Wild Card hunt, it was a great night for some baseball. And with a Cardinals win, the St. Louis crew walked away with the bragging rights!

After battling the summer heat at the ballpark, the group headed back to Jim’s for ci**rs, cooler temperatures, and a little postgame conversation.

A great night of baseball, camaraderie, and friendly competition! ⚾️

This 483,930 SF cross-dock facility is designed for today’s logistics users, featuring 40’ clear heights, 43 dock doors (plus 22 knockouts), four drive-in doors, 270 auto parking spaces, and a 190’ truck court.

Seeing the walls go up on what is Austin’s largest speculative industrial building to date is an exciting milestone and a testament to the incredible team bringing this project to life.
