Sansone Group was proud to unveil the Tree of American Dreams sculpture at Legacy Park at Tradition in Port St. Lucie, Florida, alongside the St. Lucie County Economic Development Council and the City of Port St. Lucie.
Created by local artist Geoffrey C. Smith, the commemorative installation honors Sansone Group founder Anthony F. Sansone, Sr. and the values that shaped his life, family, and legacy. The Sansone brothers worked closely with Geoffrey throughout the process to ensure every detail was intentional and deeply meaningful.
Each element of the sculpture carries special significance. The eight branches represent Anthony and Mary Anne Sansone’s eight children. The trunk symbolizes Mary Anne Michaels Sansone as the anchor and strength of the family. The four roots represent the pillars most important to Anthony: Faith, Family, Community, and Country. The bald eagle at the top reflects the American Dream as Italian immigrants.
Thank you to the community leaders, partners, city officials, and Sansone family members and team members who joined us for this meaningful dedication and ribbon-cutting ceremony. The Tree of American Dreams will stand as a lasting tribute to the values that continue to guide Sansone Group’s work and impact in the communities we help build.
It also is representative of so many who came to this country with nothing but a dream. It will be a continued legacy not just for us, but for anyone who had a dream, and never gave up until they accomplished it.
