Johnston & Wake County – April 2026 Market Statistics are in!

The numbers are in, and they show a solid, active market! With a median sales price of $450,000, it’s clear the market remains strong and competitive. We saw 1,942 closed sales this month — that’s an impressive 8.2% increase compared to last year.
Homes are still moving well with a median of 23 days on market (up 27.8%).

Other key highlights:

**Median Sold Price per Sq Ft: $214 (-1.8%)
**Active Inventory: 5,640 homes (+11.2%)
**New Listings: 3,223 (+10.5%)
**Home Affordability Index: 90.5 (significant improvement of +20.7%)

Overall, we’re seeing healthy sales volume with more inventory coming to the market, which is creating better balance and opportunities for buyers while prices remain stable.
