✨ Calling All Storytellers of Downtown Cle Elum ✨
Every brick, doorway, storefront, and sidewalk in downtown Cle Elum has a story—and now is the time to share it. As we celebrate America’s 250th anniversary, we’re inviting our community to help tell the story of Cle Elum, one memory at a time.
Do you work in a building with history?
Is your business located in a historically registered site?
Were you born and raised here—or did you choose Cle Elum as home?
We want to hear it all. Share a story about the building you work in, a moment your neighbor might not know, a challenge that shaped this town, or a piece of history that still echoes today. Maybe it’s the mining roots that built our community, the railroad that connected us, the telephone lines that changed communication, or the people who showed up when times were tough.
Tell us what makes Cle Elum home. Tell us what you’d want someone far away to know about this place—something that might just inspire them to visit, explore, and fall in love with our town the way we have.
Cle Elum may be a small sliver of the American story, but it is a powerful one—and it deserves to be told.
🗓 Stories can be shared now through January 30, 2026 and on January 31st, you can join virtually to help celebrate and listen to stories of America!
