This is BIG NEWS for anyone looking to purchase a home! This should take effect on 7/1/23 and is very exciting because it is meant to make homeownership more affordable. Homeownership should be an option for everyone and this bill will help give that opportunity to more people!🤗👏🏼

Requirements:
•Up to $20,000 for down payment, closing costs, and other costs associated with buying a home.
•First Time Home Buyer's who have not owned a home in the last 3 years.
•A maximum purchase price of $450,000.
•New construction ONLY!
•In the event of a sale or refinancing you must repay the $20k back (or 50% of your home's equity, whichever is less.)
•Must be owner-occupied.

My tips for first time homebuyers:

1. First step is to get pre-approved immediately before looking at houses! It's very important to know what you can afford because that can sometimes be less or more than you were expecting!
2. It is SO important to keep an open mind! Sometimes what you go into the home buying process thinking you might not always end up being what is best for you.
3. Your first home won’t likely be the home of your dreams & that’s ok! It is so exciting for a first time homebuyer because you are going to start building equity which will give you so much more financial potential in the future!🗝️🏘️✨
