I traveled from one paradise to another this past weekend ✨ A week leading up to departure, I was quite anxious to leave all my work and, of course, my boys!

I am fortunate I was able to spend time with some of the best women I know, detach from my routine, see a new place, make new friends, try new foods, and simply reduce my overall normal speed of 100mph. 🥵

Anytime I leave home, I come back feeling more appreciative. ✨ I have my health, a great career, phenomenal partner, two wonderful sons, and the most adorable, rotten dog. 🤍

Happy Thursday ✨ The first step to home ownership is getting approved for a loan. But which lender should you use? The promise of quick approval through internet based providers is tempting, so why use a local lender?

1️⃣ Reliability
Local lenders have a better reputation for closing loans on a timely basis. 💯

2️⃣ Reputation
Local lenders and real estate agents have an incentive to provide you with excellent service because they want you to be a source of referrals for future business.

3️⃣ Personal service
You can meet your lender face to face and ask questions in person if need be.

4️⃣Local expertise
In a situation where several offers are on the table, having a local, trusted lender could be the difference between landing the house or not. (This LITERALLY just happened for a client of mine)

5️⃣ Buy local, borrow local, help the local community. Buying locally produced goods or spending money on locally owned businesses has a positive effect by recirculating money throughout the community.
