Each year, Pinellas County and the city of Clearwater temporarily modify their water treatment process during two segments of water maintenance.
The 2026 segments will happened on May 18th through June 6, 2026
and now from September 21st through October 10, 2026.
This short-term change from to chlorine disinfection is a routine maintenance measure designed to maintain system integrity. Those impacted include Pinellas County Utilities customers as well as city of Clearwater customers.
