Let's break down this parade job. Parade jobs are fast paced and more simplified than a standard video, but the results have to be just as good.

We come into a beautiful home and have 1.5 hours to video everything! A full video job would be a much slower pace.

We start with aerial pans and "curves" as I like to call them, mixed with a few closeups. - Shot with our DJI Air3

Then we move inside grabbing pans and curves of all of the spaces. All of these were shot with the wide angle lens showing the full area. We're also using a gimbal stabilizer. No time for sliders! We also have to shoot custom white balance for each new room.

Once we've got the big shots, then we get at least one detail of each room to add depth to the story. It's too cumbersome to switch lenses and rebalance in every room so we do all wide shots, then all closeups with the 50mm essentially shooting the whole house twice. Don't forget those custom white balance adjustments!

Once the job is done, we send the clips off to our editing team. After a few revisions, the video is delivered to the client.

My dad loved wood. He had all this old wide thick American cherry and walnut boards. And some heart pine reclaimed from an eastern North Carolina to***co barn on the farm he grew up on. This wood is 30 - 75 years old. I brought the wood home when my mom sold her home and am having it milled into boards. I am going to install it in a home we are building at the coast in SC.
