Everything here is connected around a central square—the Village Green—that serves as the gathering spot for the greater Clemson community. Our newest commercial building, The Pinnacle, is now available for lease: office space, restaurants, and commercial business space. Owned and managed by J. ☕️ Business Spotlight: Chestnut Coffee
One of the things we love about having Chestnut Coffee here at Patrick Square is how naturally it fits into the community. 🤎
Chestnut is built around four core values: unity, hospitality, coffee, and community — and you can really feel that when you walk through the door. Many of their team members are students at Clemson and SWU, and they’re intentional about creating a place where people can gather, catch up, or simply enjoy a good cup of coffee.
Every cup starts with beans from Chestnut Roastery, with an emphasis on quality, sustainability, and flavor. Their house-made syrups are a customer favorite, and when it comes to pastries and homemade ice cream, they make every effort to source from local businesses and choose clean ingredients whenever possible. 🤎
And just in time for the season, their fall menu is here! 🍂 The Pumpkin Brulee Latte, Salted Maple Cold Brew, Fall Fog, and Maple Steamer are all on the menu — and if it’s still feeling a little too much like summer outside, you can enjoy those fall flavors iced. 😉
There’s also a fun event coming up! Tetelestai Permanent Jewelry will be at Chestnut for a Back to School Pop-Up on Saturday, September 5, from 10 AM–1 PM. So grab a coffee, bring a friend, and stop by for a little shopping, too.

✨ Resident Feature: Meet Judith Hebert
After the loss of her husband in September 2023, Judith Hebert was living in the home she and her late husband had designed and built together more than four decades earlier—a place filled with memories and a neighborhood she deeply loved. A move was the last thing on her mind.
But in February 2024, a simple drive through Patrick Square led to an unexpected turn in her story. Noticing a “For Sale” sign at a blue-and-white home, curiosity led her to schedule a same-day showing—never expecting what would come next.
From the moment she walked inside, Judith felt something different. The openness, the layout, and the light-filled spaces immediately drew her in. Stepping onto the back porch and looking out over the surrounding woods, she could envision a new chapter unfolding there. After a second visit and careful reflection with her family, she knew she had found her place.
On May 13, she moved into her new home at Patrick Square. While leaving her longtime home was one of the most difficult decisions of her life, Judith describes the move as a meaningful step forward—one that opened the door to connection, community, and new beginnings.
Since arriving, she has been warmly embraced by her neighbors, sharing gatherings, celebrations, and everyday moments that have quickly turned into lasting friendships. She’s also rediscovered favorite activities like Bridge, Canasta and even begun learning Mah Jongg—finding that what started as a way to stay active has grown into something much more meaningful.
After living in Clemson for over 60 years, Judith treasures being able to stay close to lifelong friends while also building new connections right here in Patrick Square.
When asked how she feels about living in her new home, her answer is simple: “I love it.”
