When we first walked into this home, we knew it wasn’t going to be for everyone. Fuchsia walls. Upholstered walls in the primary bedroom. Built-ins everywhere. And a backyard that felt like a private Japanese tea garden.
It wasn’t gray.
It wasn’t white.
It definitely wasn’t “modern farmhouse.”
And if we’re being honest—we weren’t sure how the market would respond. Turns out… we were wrong. We were inundated with interest. Multiple offers. Strong offers.
Here’s what we’re seeing right now: Buyers are getting a little tired of everything looking the same. Character, color, and personality are starting to win again. The right buyer doesn’t want a blank box.
They want something they feel when they walk in.
Bottom line: If you’ve been told your home is “too different” to sell—don’t be so sure. That “different” might be exactly what today’s buyers are looking for.
