STINGING caterpillar! Zoom in and look at all the stingers. That would HURT! Normally I do not disturb anything but this beautiful stinger was on my front door.

juvenile bald eagle being chased by crows after trying to snack on a Canadian goose chick! Might not be Wild in Florida!!! But it was WILD! Traveled to photograph a wedding and sure enjoyed the wildlife on my days off.

Wasn't expecting to photograph a mating pair of Northern Bobwhite Quail this evening! Sorry they aren't that clear. But camera was not even out of the bag when my husband noticed them in my garden. Photos are taken a few houses down from me! Sorry I have been missing from social media lately.... I tripped while photographing and dislocated my shoulder a month ago. Had to rest up for some events I had scheduled to photograph! On the mend finally! Just got back from the Mt Rainier area of Washington! Now to get the edits caught up, and head back out to the miserable hot humid Florida summer!

Most of you know that I love macro photography. It is very hard to learn. I fell a few days ago and dislocated my shoulder, so I have taken most of the week off. I'm doing well and back to work! Still a bit sore, but the ER doc said to take 3 days off and order a stabilizing brace and go ahead and go back at it, without tripping. Ha!
-This photo is a zinnia from my garden. Taken on a tripod and using a timer, I sprayed it with water until the timer went off. I would say this is a failure. But showing you anyway. Spray in the distance behind the subject works nicely. With this I tried spraying between the subject and the camera. Looks odd to me. You can see the fuzzy areas toward the edges. That's water!

This may not look like practice for human portrait photography, but it sure is! Look at the separation from background and the bird! Mind Blowing! Why did I wait so long to get and 85mm!?
