It was wonderful to see so many people come together for a day of golf, fellowship, fun, and most importantly—supporting an organization that does so much for individuals and families in our community. ❤️

Events like this are such a great reminder of what can happen when local businesses, community leaders, volunteers, and friends come together for a common purpose. I absolutely LOVE being part of a community that shows up and gives back! 🙌

What an incredible evening celebrating the power of women, generosity, history, and community at the Women’s Giving Alliance of the Community Foundation of South Lake 2026 Awards Banquet! 💜

The Women’s Giving Alliance is made up of community-minded women who believe in the power of collective giving — coming together to make an even greater impact in the lives of others.

This year, we were proud to award a combined $45,000 in grant funding to two amazing organizations:

💜 Anointed Community Services — supporting youth mentorship and life-skills programs throughout South Lake.

💜 Hands of Hope America — supporting its after-school program serving South Lake, with a special focus on the Four Corners area of Central Florida.

Congratulations to both of our 2026 grantees! It is such a blessing to see these funds going directly toward programs that are changing lives in our community. 🙌

But wait… there’s more! 🇺🇸✨

Doris Bloodsworth and Donna DiGennaro also gave an inspiring presentation honoring the remarkable women heroes of the Revolutionary War era — women whose courage, intelligence, sacrifice, and determination helped shape our country.

We learned about incredible women including Deborah Sampson, Patience Wright, Sybil Ludington, Mary Katherine Goddard, Esther de Berdt Reed, Sarah Fulton, Elizabeth Freeman, and Margaret Corbin.

What a beautiful reminder that throughout history, women have stepped forward to lead, serve, sacrifice, and create change — and women continue doing exactly that today. ❤️🤍💙

I’m so grateful to be part of an organization filled with women who have a heart for giving back and making South Lake an even stronger community.
