found myself solo-parenting three kids (then ages 7, 11, and 15), and if that doesn’t build resilience, I don’t know what does. Since then, I’ve pastored a church, beaten breast cancer in 2017, worked at my church’s international offices, and finally jumped into real estate—because why not add another challenge to the mix? Then came my favorite plot twist: in December 2022, I got remarried, blending my three kids with my husband’s three, making us an official “Brady Bunch” (but with more noise, more laundry, and definitely more snacks). My oldest daughter and her husband also made me a grandmother (but let’s be clear, I am way too fabulous for that title). My 3-year-old grandson is brilliant, handsome, and has me wrapped around his little finger. He is also the only human on earth who could convince me to share my French fries.
