Among these cities, Cleveland stands out with a substantial rise in its housing market. In August 2024, Cleveland‘s median listing home price reached $140,000, marking a 16.7% increase compared to the previous year. This growth underscores the city’s expanding appeal to homebuyers. 

Despite these gains, Cleveland continues to offer relatively affordable housing options. The city’s median home price remains below the national average, making it an attractive destination for those seeking both value and growth potential in their real estate investments.

The upward trend in Cleveland’s housing market reflects broader patterns observed in several Midwestern cities, where increasing demand and competitive pricing are driving notable appreciation in home values.

Ten U.S. metros, half of them in the Midwest, saw the largest median home price gains at the end of 2024, according to NAR.
