Here are some spring cleaning tasks to get your home ready for the season! 🧼🌷🏡

• Wash your linens and bedding.
• Clean your windows and add screens.
• Spot clean your furniture.
• Swap out your front door mat for a fresh one.
• Vacuum your mattress.
• Spring clean the kitchen: clean the backsplash, wipe down cabinets, and clean under appliances.
• Organize your pantry and toss expired products.
• Clean mirrors, lamps, and lightbulbs.
• Get ready for tax season.
• Spring clean your yard and plan to plant flowers.

Things that seem to have a mind of their own these days: Cupid, the algorithm, and mortgage rates. 💔

According to The Blueprint, "The majority were expecting rates to slowly decline throughout next year and fall below the 6% threshold by the end of Q4. Now, most forecasters are anticipating mortgage rates to close 2025 at an average of 6.34%."

This is beyond frustrating. However, I'm gonna give you the same advice I'd give to anyone complaining about Cupid or the algorithm:

The choice is yours - you can complain or you can get creative.

You can sit and wallow and stay in a home you don't love, or you can look into your options and see if there's a solution that could work for you!

You might find that your next home is a lot closer than you think! Or you might find you still need to save up first. But either way, you walk away with answers and a plan (and a hot cup of coffee if you worked with me!)

I love calling clients and watching their jaws hit the floor when they learn how much equity they have in their home.

But in real life, sometimes these conversations aren't so fun. Sometimes clients learn they have less equity than they had hoped for, and they're no longer able to list their home (at that time).

Unpopular advice: Sometimes, you just have to get started.

Yes, it’s important to get a good look at the current market and make smart financial decisions, but as a Cleveland agent, I’ve seen the downside of analysis paralysis (aka information overload).

I don’t know if you’re thinking about buying your first home or your next home, but I know that I’ve never met someone who didn’t wish they’d bought their house 5 years ago.

Because even with a market that is always fluctuating, real estate continues to be considered one of the best ways to invest in long term wealth.

Just like you’ll never win the game if you don’t shoot your shot, you’ll never grow wealth through real estate if you don’t buy a house.
