⚠️ Boil Water Notice for Community Public Water Systems ⚠️

To All Residents and Businesses of the City of Cleveland:
Due to an Independent Contractor which broke a main drinking water line, the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality has required the City of Cleveland public water system to notify all customers to boil their water prior to consumption (e.g., washing hands/face, brushing teeth, drinking, etc.). Children, seniors, and persons with weakened immune systems are particularly vulnerable to harmful bacteria, and all customers should follow these directions. As a precautionary measure, a Boil Water Notice is now in effect for your area.

What to Do:
• Boil Water: All water used for drinking, cooking, making ice, brushing teeth, and washing dishes should be boiled. Bring water to a rolling boil for at least one minute. Let it cool before use.

• Alternative Sources: If boiling is not possible, use bottled water for drinking and cooking.

• Infants and Pets: Use boiled or bottled water for preparing infant formula and for pets.

• Dishwashing: Wash dishes using boiled water or use a dishwasher with a sanitizing cycle.

• Bathing and Showering: Be careful not to ingest water while bathing or showering.
