City of Clewiston Lifeguard Training Program – Now Recruiting

The City of Clewiston is now accepting participants for our upcoming Lifeguard Training Program. This is a great opportunity for individuals ages 16 and up interested in gaining valuable skills and potentially joining our summer team. Please note, we will be selecting approximately 4–6 lifeguards, and not all participants will pass the required qualifications.

Qualifying Dates:
• April 18–20
Participants must successfully complete:

400-yard swim (front crawl/breaststroke, no stopping)
Retrieve a 10 lb weight from 10 ft depth and swim 20 yards
Tread water for 3 minutes

Training Schedule:
Sessions will run from April 18 through May 9 on select weekdays and weekends.

Weekdays: Approx. 3:30 PM – 5:30 PM
Weekends: Begin at 10:00 AM or 1:00 PM (extended sessions)

Exact end times may vary depending on daily training activities.

This program is designed to prepare participants with the skills, discipline, and responsibility required to serve as a lifeguard.
