ATTENTION SARATOGA COUNTY FARM OWNERS

The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) has issued a Secretarial Natural Disaster Designation for Saratoga County due to crop losses caused by hail on May 17, 2025. This designation makes farm operators in Saratoga County and its contiguous counties eligible to apply for Farm Service Agency (FSA) Emergency Loan Assistance, provided eligibility requirements are met.

Why This Matters:
Farmers impacted by this event may qualify for financial relief to help recover from production losses. These loans can be critical for restoring operations and ensuring long-term viability.

Application Deadline:
Farm operators have 8 months from December 15, 2025 to apply for emergency loans.

Eligible Areas:

Primary County: Saratoga
Contiguous Counties: Albany, Hamilton, Rensselaer, Warren, Fulton, Montgomery, Schenectady, Washington
