Funny thing happened on a mountain bike ride. I was bragging about a "secret" swimming hole with a ten-foot waterfall, and my friend said he kayaks over those falls every spring. On purpose. 😄

It got me thinking about how lucky we are in Hunterdon County. You can live in a historic town, close to shops and restaurants, and still be minutes from trails and water.

That's the vibe at 65 Brunswick Ave in Bloomsbury. Three bedrooms, updates throughout, closets everywhere, a partially finished basement, and a big garage for the bikes and boats.

Okay, I know what you're thinking. 28 Harry Rd in Bridgewater needs updating. 🏡

But here's the thing: it's priced well below renovated homes in the neighborhood, and a renovation loan can let you borrow for the purchase plus the updates in one loan.

I once had buyers who groaned at a dated kitchen, until they learned about renovation loans. They ended up using one on a different home.

Bonus: it's just over a mile from downtown Somerville, without Somerville's property taxes.

A Nor'easter sat on top of us all weekend, and people still came out to my open house at 81 Crestview Drive in the Waters Edge community of Clinton Township. 🌧️

Here's what keeps coming up with this neighborhood: there's no through street. The only folks driving in are residents and their guests (plus the occasional Amazon or DoorDash run, of course). This home adds an open floor plan, 4 bedrooms, 3 full and 2 half baths, a finished basement, and a corner lot with no neighbors behind it.
