Unpopular opinion:

Most companies don’t have a people problem.

They have a leadership structure problem.

The people closest to the customer usually know exactly where the business is broken…

But they’re often the last ones asked for input.

Then leadership wonders why morale is low, customers are frustrated, and ex*****on keeps falling apart.

Maybe the pyramid was never supposed to be about who sits on top.

Maybe it was supposed to show who needs the most support.

Real leadership doesn’t just give orders from above.

It removes obstacles for the people carrying the mission every day.

T = Task
What are we trying to accomplish?

A = Action
What steps should happen in what order?

G = Goal
What does success look like, and how will we measure it?

When you get clear on T-A-G, AI stops being a toy and starts becoming a time-saving teammate.

AI gives better answers when you give it better context. That’s what S-O-L-V-E is for.

S = Situation
What’s happening right now? Give the background in 1 to 3 sentences.

O = Objective
What do you want the outcome to be? Be specific.

L = Limitations
What constraints matter? Time, budget, tools, team size, deadline.

V = Vision
What does “great” look like when it’s done? Define the standard.

E = Ex*****on
Ask for the steps. Then ask for the first 3 actions you should do today.

Copy and paste this:

Situation: ___
Objective: ___
Limitations: ___
Vision: ___
Ex*****on: Give me a step by step plan, plus the first 3 moves to start today.

Use this once, and you’ll stop getting generic replies and start getting usable plans.

R = Role
Who do you need today, coach, strategist, admin, contractor, teacher?

T = Task
What do you want done, plan my week, write the email, summarize the document, build the checklist?

F = Format
How should it look, bullets, table, step by step, template, 60 second script?

Copy and paste this and fill in the blanks:

Format: Return it as ___

Bad management doesn’t just “hurt morale.” It runs your best people straight to the EXIT.

A-Players can handle pressure. They won’t tolerate being boxed in by nonsense—red tape, moving goalposts, and leaders who measure time instead of results.

If your top talent keeps leaving, it’s usually not “the market.” It’s the environment that has been created:
‐unclear expectations
‐micromanagement dressed up as “standards”
-approvals on top of approvals
-accountability for everyone… except leadership

Here’s the truth nobody wants to say out loud: You don’t lose A-Players to competitors. You lose them to constraints.
