A bench, hooks and cubbies, brought together in warm wood.

In the Oxfordshire, a sold Ground Breaker Homes plan in Cu***ng, the mudroom nook is backed with dark wood-toned vertical paneling with the grain showing, topped with a rail and two brass-toned hooks, and finished with a bench and open cubbies below in the same tone. A small window brings in daylight. This is the space that handles coats, bags and shoes, and here it was given the same design attention as the kitchen. Stone, wood and dark accents give this entry its character.

On this custom build in Indianola a timber-look gable rests on two pale stone piers and shelters the front door, and the same pale stone wraps the base of the home. White horizontal siding runs above it, dark vertical panels break up the white siding, and dark window frames and metal roof accents hold the palette together.
