Hey everybody!!! We want to thank you for the last few years! We had a lot of fun meeting great people and taking them one step closer to making a house their home. I met some amazing realtors through this process as well. Seasons of life come and go and often opportunities come along that require closing the door on one chapter before beginning the next. As of this month Gray Woods Inspections will be dissolved and will no longer be doing home inspections. Thanks again and God bless!!!

Hey everyone, we have been looking for a home and we ran into something that I never thought about before. Prior to putting an offer in on a couple houses I called to check on the taxes etc. upon calling I learned that none of the work had permits and some was in violation with code. Some people might think “big deal” but here’s the problem: if a home is purchased without permits and inspections for the updates/improvements and you decide to do future work and pull permits the city will come to check your work and see prior work. If that prior work is not to code, YOU will be responsible for bringing it to code. For example the house you want is advertised as having all new electrical or plumbing and it wasn’t permitted and fails to meet code, you will be required to bring it to code. This could cost you big $$$$ and time.
After having this experience Gray Woods Inspections has decided to include this investigation as part of their service. We will take the steps to verify that the house you want was done right and won’t give you any expensive surprises.
