Our second keynote at this month’s Builder & Developer Luncheon was our own Kalen Ludwig, Director of Sales and Marketing at Diligent Development.

Kalen shared her perspective on the Des Moines housing market, walking attendees through recent housing data across local communities. As interest rates continue to stabilize, new construction and existing home inventory are starting to normalize here locally.

Recent data also suggests that in the metro, housing prices peaked in 2024 and have begun to ease since then, signaling a shift toward a more balanced market.
