🏡 WHY I GOT INTO REAL ESTATE… AND WHY I DO THINGS A LITTLE DIFFERENTLY. 🌲❤️
Let's talk about something a little different today!
I didn't get into real estate just because I wanted to sell houses. I got into it because I felt like the industry was missing someone like me.
I'm a mom. I'm a full-time local. I live here, raise my family here, and experience the realities of mountain living right alongside everyone else who calls Cloudcroft home.
And listen… I GET IT. This place is paradise! 😍 The towering pines, the wildlife wandering through your yard, the cool mountain air, the changing seasons, the small-town charm… there is a reason people fall in love with Cloudcroft. I sure did!
BUT… there's another side to mountain living that doesn't always make it into the pretty pictures. 😉
What about the well that needs to produce enough water for your family? The septic system? The winter weather, icy roads, heating costs, or the extra maintenance that comes with owning a home in the mountains? What about understanding property boundaries, access, zoning, and the other details that can make a BIG difference when purchasing a property here?
Those things matter. A LOT.
And I wanted to be the realtor who talks about ALL of it.
Not just the good. Not just the gorgeous mountain views and the dreamy cabin tucked among the trees. But the good, the bad, and everything in between.
Because buying a home isn't just about falling in love with a house. It's about understanding what you're buying, knowing what to expect, and making a decision that's right for YOU and your family.
Over the years, I've learned that being a good realtor means more than opening doors and getting a transaction to the closing table. It means asking the extra questions, helping clients navigate the unexpected, being honest even when a conversation isn't easy, and making sure people have the information they need to make confident decisions.
And my experience goes beyond real estate, too. Serving on the Village Council and as Chair of the Planning & Zoning Committee gave me another perspective on the rules, regulations, and decisions that shape our community. I believe that knowledge matters when you're helping someone make a big investment here.
After nine years in real estate and roughly $40 million in sales, one thing hasn't changed: I want my clients to know what they're getting into BEFORE they sign on the dotted line.
Whether you're buying your forever home, looking for a mountain getaway, investing in property, or selling a home filled with memories, you deserve someone who cares about more than just making a sale.
You deserve someone who will tell you the truth, help you ask the right questions, and treat your investment like it matters—because it DOES.
I love this little mountain community. I love helping people discover it. And there's something extra special about helping families choose to make Cloudcroft their HOME, not just a place they visit.
That's why I do what I do. ❤️
🌲 Now I want to hear from YOU!
If you're considering buying a home in the mountains, what's the ONE thing you'd want to know before making the move?
And if you already live here, what's something you wish someone had told you before you bought your home?
