This is really the best investment advice you can get as a young person! Many of the most wealthy people have made their money in real estate. I have read Bach's book (The Automatic Millionaire) and it's worth reading. According to another very successful businessman, Robert Kiyosaki (Rich Dad, Poor Dad), purchasing a home is the first step toward wealth..the steps being, 1) Secure; 2) Comfortable, or 3) Rich.
