• Rocket: Vulcan
• Primary Payload: Geosynchronous Space Situational Awareness Program (GSSAP) System
• Launch Date: Thursday, February 12, 2026
• Launch Window: 3:30 a.m. - 5:30 a.m. EST
• Launch Site: SLC-41, Cape Canaveral Space Force Station

The rocket will fly in a VC4L configuration - four solid rocket boosters attached to the first stage; expect the launch to be loud, producing three million pounds of thrust at liftoff, almost double a Falcon 9.

This launch was delayed from February 2, 2026.

The Islander Hut was pure local charm. Wish we still had it.

Cocoa Beach's famous Islander Hut-photo by Dave White. The hut's fries and cokes, doled out by Judy Slater, fueled many future stars such as the Slater brothers, Matt Kechele, Todd Holland and nearly every other local talent you can name. Note the Ford LTD with the surfboards on top and the jacked up rear-end, sporting the cool but mostly for show fat racing slicks.
