The last old school mall in Brevard is now slated for redevelopment. Built in 1966 and originally known as Searstown Mall, The Titusville Mall offers the last glimpse of what Brevard once looked like. As the mall winds down and readies for demolition there isn’t much there to do but eat! Yes, I said eat. 😂 The best kept secret of Brevard and quite possibly the best burger in Brevard can be found at SugaBears_Eatz, a kiosk in the mall. Grab a burger while you still can.

The 60 year old water tower in Titusville will be demolished this week. The tank was built in the early 1960s when Titusville was experiencing a surge in population. It is the same water tank that in 2012 the Comedy Central Comedian, Tosh 2.0, proposed to place a banner on in honor of himself. Titusville City Council turned down the $7,000 offer. 😂

I can’t believe I’m planning Christmas dinner already!!! Where did the year go???? With that in mind, I thought I would take a moment to share a favorite recipe that is deeply entrenched in Space Coast history and it would not be a Meyer’s Christmas dinner without it.

The glory days of the space race brought tons of people to the central Brevard area. From the 1950’s through the early 70’s, many restaurants along the Space Coast were known as the popular hang outs for astronauts.

Ramon’s Restaurant was one of those restaurants. Located in Cocoa Beach, it featured three dining rooms and two cocktail lounges. They were known for their prime rib and Caesar Salad dressing. The inside decor was filled with space memorabilia and throughout the Apollo Era, astronauts were regular customers. It was not unusual to see one or two of their corvettes in the parking lot. ✨🚀🇺🇸
