The Miami Beach Fire Department will be flushing hydrants citywide from Monday, September 14 to Friday, September 25, 2026.

Flushing activities are scheduled each night including weekends, starting at 11 p.m. MBFD shifts will start at the south end of Miami Beach and work north in sections each night.

This annual maintenance is essential to ensure the hydrants and the entire water distribution system are in peak working condition when we need them most. Flushing also helps identify any maintenance needs before emergencies arise.
