Housing markets are a common topic, and while it's always complicated, one thing we can say for sure is that we have seen a slow, steady shift in our market over the past couple of years. This is a much more 'normal' shift in the real estate world than the dramatic and quick shift we saw during and immediate following the COVID-19 pandemic. Where are we today? Tips for Sellers: work closely with your agent and use the data they provide. Expect selling times to be longer than previous years. Do the little things that will make a big difference in getting your home shown, helping it show well, and giving you the best chance at a successful sale.
Tips for Buyers: take your time and find what you want. While you may not be able to check every box, there is more inventory out there than we have seen for years. So while buying is exciting and you may be ready now, start shopping, look at your options, and then don't be afraid to negotiate.
