We hosted my dad’s 95th birthday party last weekend. Interesting thought…this house was built about 24 years before my dad was born. Both my dad and the house are standing the test of time! 💗 Thanks to for getting us set up with some beautiful balloons. There were more but we didn’t quite get a good pic before guests arrived. 😬

New section of fence built by our friend and former neighbor . It’s incredibly well built and designed to match a section of the neighbor’s fence. Will add some plants in the spring to fill in the empty spaces. We love it!

Fellow fans of Coeur d’Alene! The creation of this story began in the Downtown Coeur d’Alene Cottage two summers ago. It’s now in print and ON SALE through most major online booksellers worldwide! While the story could take place in any small town USA, in my mind, it’s my beautiful hometown of Coeur d’Alene, Idaho! Today's excursion to the Emerald Creek Garnet Area was worth sharing. If you have a day, this trip is worth the drive. Reservations can be hard to come by but it's worth the effort of checking and double checking the availability until you find an opening.
