There's something about the first genuinely cool evening of fall that makes us look at our homes differently.
Suddenly we're noticing fireplaces, covered outdoor spaces, entryway storage, heating systems, how many covered parking spaces there are, landscaping features that might need winter prep, and even where we drop all the jackets, boots, and winter gear.
