Another great reason to move to Idaho!

Property taxes rose nationwide in 2025, with the national effective rate climbing to 0.9%, the highest since 2020, according to ATTOM. The lowest effective rates are in Hawaii, Idaho, Wyoming, Arizona, and Alabama, with West Virginia posting the lowest average bill at $1,081.

Reason number 3…..

Every year this century – until recently – Washington saw a net gain of income from migration. The 2023 IRS data are now in, and for the second consecutive year, the state recorded a net loss of income from migration.

This reversal reflects the cumulative impact of policy decisions by legislative Democrats: higher taxes, mismanagement of our K–12 system, and soft-on-crime policies.

For years, House Republicans have sounded the alarm and proposed solutions to address this trend, now reflected in IRS data.

Reason number 2 to move to Idaho from Washington!

A new report from the U.S. Bureau of Economic Analysis (BEA) ranks Washington as the 5th most expensive state in the nation.

The data are from 2024 – before legislative Democrats enacted the largest tax increases in state history.

Gov. Ferguson promised $100 million to hire more police officers and improve public safety. He also proclaimed in his inaugural address, “I’m not here to defend government. I’m here to reform it.”

More than a year later, very few police officer has been hired, as the rollout of the grant program has been mired in technical issues and bureaucracy.

Meanwhile, Washington continues to rank dead last in the nation for police officers per capita and to have the third-highest property crime rate in the nation.
