I grew up on a farm in near Belleville KS and graduated from Belleville High in 1970. I graduated from Kansas State University in 1974 with a BS in Medical Technology. After graduation, I returned to the farm to help my father with our farming and ranching operation. I married Deanna Duffey of Colby in 1975. We have three children and ten grandchildren. In 1987, I dusted off my college degree and

returned to work in the hospital laboratory at Hiawatha KS as a Medical Technologist and Histotechnologist. We returned to Colby in 1989, when I accepted a position with Citizens Medical Center. I retired from the position of Laboratory Manager in December 2013 after 24 years of service at CMC.
