History is on display right here on Main Street. ✨ Wood and Water: Furniture on Long Island, 1660–1860 at Preservation Long Island explores the people and craftsmanship that shaped Long Island homes and communities for generations.

From Quaker joiners and Black makers to women upholsterers, Dutch turners, and Indigenous weavers, the exhibition offers a fascinating look at Long Island life and artistry before the Civil War.

Visit the exhibition at 161 Main Street in Cold Spring Harbor, on view Thursday through Sunday through November 22.

Pinktober is happening this weekend! 💕 Two towns. Ten days. One important cause 💕 This October, Cold Spring Harbor and Locust Valley businesses are coming together for Shop Pinktober, a 10-day community shopping initiative organized by Stroll with Carolyn Walkin and benefiting Pink Aid.

From October 1–10, participating local shops and restaurants will donate a percentage of sales or offer special promotions benefiting Pink Aid and its work supporting local breast cancer patients with compassion and care.

💗 Make plans to stroll, shop, dine, and show some love to the businesses that make our communities so special.
