If you believe RedFin, the value of our homes is rising nicely. One purchased in late 2020 for $428,000 is showing a valuation of $575,000 on the real estate site. No doubt that’s exaggerated, and perhaps significantly, but it’s also clear that valuations of new townhomes in Hyattsville and Greenbelt are giving us a boost.

CAMDEN POOL & GYM AVAILABLE TO US. After some diligent back-and-forth by our President Steve Gierisch with the manager of Camden College Park, the apartment complex is again offering townhouse residents access to its pool and gym. The cost is $450 per unit, annually, payable by cashiers’ check or money order. If you get pushback when trying to purchase access, let Steve know. (I was told “no” initially, but I had Steve’s email in which Camden’s manager acknowledged our ability to purchase access). Camden staff say the fee is what they charge their residents for the same access.

Each townhouse is limited to a total of 3 people at any one time (including guests), and as a continuing COVID precaution, Camden is monitoring the number of people in the pool, so everyone must check in with the office for a wrist band before entering (except after office-hours and holidays).

During the snow storm on Feb 18, I used the snow blower I bought for the HOA and cleared our sidewalk before 12 noon.
